リーナ・エダ＊心の旅 いのちに出会う旅 in 高野山 加持とは 如来の大悲と衆生の信心を表す。 仏日の影、 衆生の心水に現ずるを加といい、 行者の心水、 よく仏日を感ずるを“持”と名づく。 ＝即身成仏義＝ 弘法大師空海の箴言 “加持”とは、 人々の悲しみや苦しみを憐れみ救おうとする 大日如来の慈悲心と、 仏の加護の力を信じる私たちの心を表しています。 あたかも太陽のような仏の光が、 人々の水のような心に映じて現れるのを“加”といい、 修行に励む者の水のような心が、 太陽のように輝く仏を感じるのを“持”といいます。 弘法大師 空海 『南無大師遍照金剛』 （潅頂名 密教） 弘法大師空海の思想の中核をなすものは、“即身成仏”思想だといえます。真言密教の教えの中で、“即身成仏”を三つの段階に分けて解釈しています。 １つ目は「すなわち身、なれる仏」と読み、この宇宙森羅万象すべてが仏の現れとし、私たち人間を含めたすべてのものは、そのまま仏であると解釈します。 ２つ目は「身に即して仏になる」と読み、煩悩に覆われて隠れている仏を観るために、凡夫は身に印を結び、口に真言を唱え、心に仏を想う「三密加持」の行をもって仏と一体となる境涯を一時的に体験できると説いています。 ３つ目は「すみやかに身、仏となる」と読み、その一時的な境涯を絶えず積み重ねることで、四六時中仏と一つになり仏の働きを生きることができると説いています。 “即身成仏”を可能にするものは「三密加持」の行であり、この三密とは、身密・語密・心密の「三密」、すなわち、身（身体）・口（言葉）・意（意思）の三つの働きを指すもので、すべての生命現象はこの働きで成り立っているとしています。 大日如来を宇宙の根源的な生命力とみなし、森羅万象を大日如来の現れであると説く密教では、人間の三つの働きも大日如来の現れであり、本質的には人間も大日如来と同じであるとしています。ただ、 大日如来の働きは通常の人間の思考では計り知れないということから、密なるものという意味で「三密」と呼んでいます。衆生の三密と仏の三密とが感応し融合することこそ“即身成仏”への道程といえます。 「三密加持」は、自らの身体、言葉、意思という三つの働きを、仏の三密に融合させて大日如来と一体になることであり、具体的には、手に仏の象徴であ
